Demonstrating Quantum Error Correction
Переглядів 81 тис.Рік тому
The Google Quantum AI team has made an important step towards the development of a large-scale useful quantum computer. This breakthrough is the first demonstration of a logical qubit prototype, showing that it’s possible to reduce errors by increasing the number of qubits. Evidencing quantum effects in machine learning
Переглядів 2,5 тис.Рік тому
Since the advent of quantum machine learning, a large focus has been placed on finding computational advantage, often in the form of speed ups or intractability. While this goal has clear motivation, there is usually little-to-no understanding of exactly what quantum effect produces said advantage, and how. In general, studying quantum effects is not straightforward, and it is particularly diff...
Calibrating large quantum processors
Переглядів 1,7 тис.Рік тому
Scaling up quantum processors poses several challenges in the world of device calibration. In this talk, we go into some of the active research at Google into creating faster, more robust, fully automated systems to calibrate these processors. We introduce the high level concepts behind initial device calibration as well as maintenance and show how we applied our calibration infrastructure to p...

Quantum walks on hierarchical graphs
Переглядів 1,5 тис.Рік тому
There are few known exponential speedups for quantum algorithms and these tend to fall into even fewer families. One speedup that has mostly resisted generalization is the use of quantum walks to traverse the welded-tree graph, due to Childs, Cleve, Deotto, Farhi, Gutmann, and Spielman. We show how to generalize this to a large class of hierarchical graphs in which the vertices are grouped into...
Comprehensive simulations of error correction experiments

Comprehensive numerical models will be required to accurately predict the performance of a fault-tolerant quantum memory. In this talk, we discuss the challenges (both physical and computational) in developing these models. We highlight the need for appropriate physical approximations and stress the necessary tradeoff between model detail and numerical scalability. Watch more Quantum Summer Sym...
Keynote: Superconducting qubits for quantum computation: transmon vs fluxonium
Переглядів 6 тис.Рік тому
Superconducting qubits are solid state electrical circuits fabricated using techniques adapted from those of conventional integrated microprocessors. They are based on the Josephson tunnel junction, which is so far the only non-dissipative, strongly nonlinear circuit element compatible with low temperature operation. In contrast to microscopic entities such as spins, atoms, or ions, superconduc...

In this talk, we examine the power of a cryptographic leash as a classical verifier. Specifically, we look at how it levels the playing field, allowing for the classical verification of quantum computation, homomorphic quantum computation amongst other quantum computing concept. We’ll also look at quantum supremacy, quitbit certification protocol, best practices when using functions to gain lev...
Quantum learning for quantum chaos
Переглядів 1,3 тис.Рік тому
The subject of quantum chaos for quantum many-body systems has received great attention in recent years, both theoretically and experimentally. After reviewing some recent developments in the subject, we establish that certain chaotic properties of quantum many-body systems cannot always be efficiently learned using conventional experiments. However, by enhancing experiments with certain forms ...

The reward is so small. If I can, I will hold an online auction with Microsoft and IBM. Anyone with half a brain knows that if Google dominates technology and quantum computing, Google will dominate everything. 😑

So, hundreds of web pages, and so little time. On the topic of using entangled "bits", to allow crystalline resonance between two distant crystalline matrices. In my research allowing layering of these entangled bits would allow two such crystalline matrices to act as "am" radios crystal set, thereby having real time instantaneous data/communications over all distances. I frequent quora. thank you for being you. DJL

More then 20 years, spent $3B dollars. And today only can turn moleculer data into binary in 3 days with correct sequence and CRC checks. You expect someone will do it better version of it for $5M and it's gonna paid if it wins with different categories? Dear google. We have done everything to achive your goal. You are seeking to get all of our knowledge and experience and dreams for free and you gonna give the award to one of them you want while you are having all the others? With my all respect, YOU WISH.

Excellent video ruined by the uncessary use of constant music. Think that your audience is going to be quite well educated and interested, why do you need to add music over people talking, we want to hear what they have to say, not the music.

If you're a genius kid in the 1970s and 80s, you help design a quantum computer and call it Sycamore. While you're at it, you also design the quantum chips of IBM and Microsoft, and the Chinese' etc. And remembering you were already working on Tensor Networks too.
